Welcome to Vertex Sentinel ("the Platform"), a verifiable guardrail system for autonomous AI trading agents. By using our services, integrated software (including the Kraken CLI and MCP server), or on-chain risk routers, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Vertex Sentinel, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our software or smart contracts.

2. Services Provided

Vertex Sentinel provides a decentralized security layer for AI trading bots, including:

On-Chain Guardrails: Verifying trade intents through the RiskRouter.sol contract.
Universal Agent Identity: Cryptographic verification using the ERC-8004 standard.
Secure Execution Layer: Integration with exchanges via the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

3. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

Configuring and managing your AI agent's logic and reasoning.
Ensuring your on-chain risk parameters (position limits, circuit breakers) reflect your loss tolerance.
Compliance with any local financial or securities laws.
The security of your private keys and API credentials.

4. No Financial Advice

Vertex Sentinel is NOT a financial advisor. We provide security infrastructure and risk management tools. Our platform does not suggest, recommend, or endorse any trading strategies. All trades initiated by your AI agents are done at your own risk.

5. Risk and Liability

You acknowledge that AI trading involves high financial risk. Vertex Sentinel's "Fail-Closed" architecture is designed to stop unauthorized trades, but we do not guarantee against market losses or bugs in third-party exchange software.

Limitation of Liability: Vertex Sentinel, the VertexAgents team, and its contributors shall NOT be liable for any financial losses, lost data, or damages arising from your use of the platform, even in the event of software failure or market volatility.

6. Intellectual Property

Vertex Sentinel’s codebase, including the RiskRouter.sol smart contract and our MCP server integration, is released under the MIT Open Source License. You are free to use, modify, and distribute the code in accordance with that license.

7. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our service at any time. We also reserve the right to update these Terms of Service as necessary to comply with changing regulations or technological shifts.

8. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the core development team operates, and you agree to resolve any disputes in the appropriate courts of that jurisdiction.

9. Acknowledgment

By using Vertex Sentinel, you acknowledge that you are interacting with experimental, cutting-edge AI and blockchain technology. You accept all associated risks, including the potential for smart contract vulnerabilities or AI model hallucinations.
